First development update

Hey, Velocirection here with the first update :3 so, I've been working a lot on day 2... that's where things get juicy...

A lot of it has been drawing portraits, specifically zebra. I'm doing his path for day 2 first. Not going to show nsfw content that you(and me as well!) are looking forward to- yet. That's not to say I haven't done any but I'd rather wait until I have more done to start showing it!

Here's some screens... This stuff I've already put up on my twitter account(@velocirection). First, two screens that really show the attitude difference in the gator and zebra.

I've had a few people tell me zebra is the clear choice- and you might think that based on the gator's rude and crass behavior. But trust me, she wants the D very badly- she just has a hard time of showing it. Zebra is a genuine sweetheart and shows it, gator can be sweet... but it takes a bit for her to show that side.

About day 2, the goal of day 2 is to hang out with your date at the arcade! There's some npcs to meet(and maybe do some sexy stuff with ;3) some minigames(I've prototyped some already but not sure what ones will be in the final game yet) and a lengthy lunch scene where you and your date get some food, talk about things etc... this will be a big character development bit where you learn a lot more about the gator or zebra.

So, progress on zebra's path-

So progress is difficult to measure here... I plan to use the same art for things(like in this pic, the waiter and the background) but obviously if you're dating the gator, she'd be there instead. And maybe with a different dialogue option ;p or who knows? I haven't written much of the gator's dialogue for the arcade date yet. Anyway, I'm kind of close to having the zebra's path for day 2 playable from start to finish. The two big things for it are 1. making the art and 2. writing the dialogue.

Sometimes dialogue comes really easily to me, sometimes it doesn't... :/ writing really isn't my strongest skill.

Regardless of what path you take, before going on your date, you're able to(and you really should! but it's optional) go back to the previous locations and see what's different. Mainly, the people that are there are different. You can meet a teacher that the main char, gator and zebra all had in highschool:

This asshole works the pharmacy on day 2 instead of the gator:

And this doe works the register at the burger joint on day 2 instead of the zebra!

"What's the point of going back to previous locations, Velocirection?" you're probably wondering. Well, these characters all have interesting things to say about the gator and or zebra. Depending on who you date they'll tell you different things and have different conversation options. Now, let's say you talk to the teacher about the gator or zebra. She has some bits of info on both of them. Fast forward to when you have lunch with your date and because you talked to the teacher previously, you'll get some extra conversation options in certain parts. These in turn will give you more info about the gator/zebra/main char's backstory. And maybe a little something extra ;p

Anyway, you don't have to talk to anyone on day 2 and you can just go straight to the arcade. But I think you'll be inclined to revisit places, see what everyone has to say... trust me, I'll try to make it as interesting as possible! I know it's not fun to back track to places if there isn't at the very least some fun dialogue to be had.

And finally, this doesn't fit in anywhere else really but I have like 3 or 4 years experience 3d modeling and decided to start putting it to use with this project. I've been using helpers now and again to... well, help me get perspective and depth on weird angles more easily.

That's all I have to say about that!

All in all, I think progress is going well and I can't wait to have more to show :3 Velocirection out!
